I am Dr. Toqa Hassan, an Assistant Professor of Digital Media at Purdue University Northwest. I am passionate about technology and all its positive and negative effects on people. These interests propel me to research how we choose the tech around us and how we adopt it to our lives. I am especially interested in how parents influence children's habits and behaviors with media and technology.

My philosophy is to live and enjoy life as you would a video game. With every new achievement, new challenges are unlocked and with each challenge, great rewards await!

I'm a Muslim woman living in the United States after moving to Ohio from Egypt with my family in 2006. As of 2023, Northwest Indiana is my most recent home as I teach at Purdue University Northwest.
